This is a hobby that I pursued while I was at Qualcomm. As they had a full sized espresso machine, I decided I would learn to create latte art by the end of the summer.

Working with only a few minutes of break a day, I learned how to operate and maintain an espresso machine, such as cleaning the portafilters and using just the right amount of pressure with the tamp. Most importantly, I learned how to use the steamer to create microfoam milk, reading a thermometer to properly gauge when to sink the steamer below the surface. By the end of the summer, I was able to consistently create a heart shape, and was working on the rosette before my internship was up.
